After a week of tantalizing sunshine and sand-crusted romance novels at the beach, I’ve come back to reality. It is always so hard to leave a place where laziness and fun are so readily intertwined….
I hope your summer is going fantastic and most importantly I hope you are wearing sunscreen any chance you get!
I’m currently on the search for a new foundation and serum, so be on the lookout as I will post about the ones I choose and give you the “what’s up” on them! In the meantime, I wanted to quickly share about Beauty Protector’s Protect & Oil.
It is always to find a protective oil or serum for you hair (especially in the summer when your hair is bound to catch some gnarly UV’s). After doing some research and looking through many reviews I decided to try the brand Beauty Protector’s product. First off, it smells AMAZING! When applying I focus mostly on my ends when my hair is damp but I also use it to smooth fly-aways when it is dry. So if you are on the search for a new protective oil because a creme isn’t cutting it for your locks, give the Beauty Protector a look!
Have a fabulous day!
Time has flown and so have the seasons! My last post touched on some hacks to deal with dull skin. This post surrounds some of the hair and skin concerns surrounding summer and the beautiful sunshine. Sunscreen should always be your go-to even if you are walking to take the trash out because UV rays are real and harmful. But the sun also brings dried out hair and skin, extra results from UV rays. I’ve included my favorite remedies to block your dullness away!
Along with my bikini obsession at the moment, I am letting you in on my beauty go-to’s in the summer.
Hair: If you are prone to drier hair like my crazy curls, Kérastase’s products are extremely helpful as the brand is like a pharmacy for hair! This Nectar Thermique is my favorite and even though it is definitely pricey, it is so worth it.
Face: Find the right oil is an extremely important part of your beauty regimen. For me, it includes a couple drops of Josie Maran’s Argan Oil daily. I will warn that it does seem like it makes your face really oily when you put it on, but it does wonders overnight.
Body: Probably one of my favorite confidence boosts in the summer is when I have bronzed and shiny legs. This body lotion with cocoa butter and cupuacu butter smells amazing (always a plus) and does the job to get those legs moisturized!
I hope your summer is filled with fun (even if you’re making the bacon rather than sizzling in the sun) and sun protection of course. Remember to feel confident and take care of your skin as it will thank you later!
Have a blessed day!
Winter time. It comes with fur coats, fuzzy socks, and fashionable but cozy outfits. If you’re like me, winter also brings dull skin to match the dull weather.
If dull skin is your diagnosis, try my 5-step approach as your remedy! I have combination skin (aka bipolar skin) and I’m always on the prowl for the best products to perk up my skin but also to balance the oil and dryness. Here is my 5-step approach:
1)Face Wash: Philosophy’s Purity face wash
This face wash is very light and has a wonderful smell to it that actually feels like you are cleaning your face. Also, it stays having great reviews and can help get off that stubborn mascara.
2)Exfoliator/Scrub (Don’t need to do every day if skin appears too dry): Bioré’s Baking Soda Exfoliator
This product is fairly new and is the perfect exfoliator for my skin! It’s not too harsh on the skin and the powder activates with water!
3)Face Toner: Boots No7 Beautiful Skin Refreshing Toner
Make sure not to skip this step! Toner can work miracles and help clean anything your face wash did not as well as smooth your skin.
4)Face Serum: Boots Botanics All Bright Radiance Serum
This serum is also fairly new and the same mother brand as my face toner. It works great for the price and doesn’t have a potent smell as some serums do.
5)Moisturizer: Philosophy’s Take a Deep Breath Moisturizer
This moisturizer includes oxygen to help perk up even the most tired skin! The smell is refreshing, but if your skin is extra dry you may want to use a heavier moisturizer at night and use this one in the morning.
I hope these steps can bring some facial relief amidst all the other stress you might have of picking out the warmest scarf or deciding to wear a jacket with your sweater due to the oncoming spring weather.
Have a blessed day!
No one wants to walk around with those Barbie pink cheeks that wipe off with the slightest touch. The best alternative is a cheek stain! It stays on better and you can control how strong the color is when putting it on. Plus you can use it on your lips for a sweet stain or even as a eyeshadow for your lids! I included three different options with different prices to choose the best affordable option for you.
1) Tarte Cheek Stain- $30 (definitely worth the money and comes in all kinds of shades to ensure the best stain color on you)
2) Benefit’s Benetint- $30 (one of the first well known cheek, lip, and face stains)
3) E.L.F. All over color stick- $1.99 (works well for the price but I would still suggest the Tarte or Benetint)
Hope this helps!

So it’s officially Summer Solstice and that means the season of cut offs and sandy sandals is in session. Hope your summer days are full of cute outfits and great sun bathing (with appropriate protection of course!) with a side of sweet summer nights.
I’ve included some summer bliss worthy inspirational pictures and of course the beauty products you need for an everyday natural look.

One new up and coming trend that I absolutely love is the lig gloss/balm stick. This is basically a smoother lip balm that adds shine and some color to your lips. I love this product because it is not sticky and does not dry up but stays smooth on your lips like a lip balm would but has some shine like a gloss. If you are the kind of person who loves simple lips and does not like to mess with lipsticks, then this lip product is for you!
I have included 3 different examples of this product from different brands to help make your life easier to see which one to buy.
1) the first one is the Clinique chubby stick and comes in so many shades. This one has a really strong color content and is good if you like tinted lip balms better. Price: $16
2.) e.l.f. jumbo lip gloss stick: I love this one because it has great quality for such a cheap price like the rest of their makeup and goes on oh so smooth. I would recommend putting your favorite chapstick on before just to ensure the smoothness. Price:$2 (yes! only $2)
3.) Covergirl jumbo gloss balm: This one is so pretty and is focused more on the tint that the balm part for sure. I love the color options in it (especially Coral Twist). Price: $7.99
MY FAVORITE: definitely the e.l.f. one because it is so cheap and it acutally works! But if you are wanting a more high quality and willing to pay the price then go ahead!
